Masterclass: Don’t Burnout & Don’t be an Asshole - The Art & Science of Breathing

What if you knew that one of the secrets to not burning out, sleeping better, not losing your shit and generally having a life that is more in flow started with: breathing. In this interactive session, you will learn how to breathe, the connection of breathing and emotions and how to navigate stress and anxiety by breathing. We will cover the science of breathing (physiology and a sprinkle of neuroscience) with the art of breath itself. We will workshop where it will benefit you to build in a mindful moment. You will leave with a real time tool that will support your mental and physical wellbeing for the rest of your life.

Educator:

Sonja Mackay is the founder of the Wild Orange School of Wellbeing and The More Human Company.

Before stepping into the world of entrepreneurship she spent two decades working in international economic development in leadership roles across Australia, the UK, and the USA. She had the privilege to work with successful startups like Slack, Square and Eventbrite to establish their presence in Melbourne and worked with Victorian founders to set up globally.

It was her own diagnosis and subsequent recovery from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which took many years that led Sonja to wellbeing, positive psychology, neuroscience and contemplative practices to ensure she never walked that path again.

A straight-talking Scot, she has a slight coffee addiction, loves red lipstick, and smiles (and swears) a lot. Sonja is now located in Edinburgh, Scotland (because well, a pandemic happened).
