Alice Williams, Founder of Ovira
Alice Williams is the founder of Ovira, an Australian born global womens health brand who’s first product is a device that tackles period pain. After raising over $1.5million in 2020, Ovira now has tens of thousands of customers around the world and a buzzing online community that is tackling the emotional isolation and pain women experience.
About Ovira's Grant (2020)
Project Title: Innovative, wearable device to relieve period cramps goes global
Project Description: The project will focus on Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) technology, creating a small wearable device that can be used to relieve pain caused from menstruation and common uterus disorders. The project will focus on expanding the device into overseas markets.
Grant amount: $400,000
Danielle Owen-Whitford, CEO & Founder of Pioneera
Danielle Owen Whitford, a former corporate executive, founded start up Pioneera in 2018 to improve our mental health by tackling the crippling issue of workplace stress and burnout. Pioneera’s AI platform combines technology with psychology to prevent workplace stress whilst promoting positive productive cultures and is gaining strong interest across both corporate Australia and small businesses. Danielle speaks regularly on wellbeing, AI, women in technology, leadership; and preventing burnout.
About Pioneera's Grant (2021)
Project Title: International expansion for Pioneera’s platform.
Project Description: Pioneera is a digital platform that analyses written communication (linguistic analysis) via digital communication in workplace settings to measure behaviour and mental state to power personalised interventions that reduce stress. The platform employs an AI bot called “Indie” that is integrated into an organisation’s systems. Indie detects early warning signs of stress in real time from written communication data and then sends tips and alerts to improve behaviour and engagement and decrease workplace stress.
Grant amount: $275,000
