Supporting 100+ Female Founders since 2019

Atto has officially supported over 100 female founders. 🎊 🎊 🎊

Launched in 2019, Atto is a global startup school for women to launch and scale tech startups.

This 100+ founder milestone quantifies just some of the time, effort and dedication Atto’s lean team and put into building the female founder ecosystem from Australia.

Atto’s been global since day one with a focus on remote, accessible programs - but we’re still only just getting started.

Atto was created to fill a gap in the education space by creating hands-on and action-oriented programs that teach women to create a startup. We pride ourselves on doing things a bit differently. We encourage founders to build scalable, sustainable, and independent tech-enabled businesses all on their own terms. We have strong values of focus, clarity, and action. The word ‘Atto’ is a metric prefix meaning that all the tiny actions founders take add up to create a big impact.

Atto’s founder and serial entrepreneur, Kate Kendall built the Atto community in 2019 after being approached by countless women seeking support to successfully build and scale startups - without the focus on hustle, growth for growth’s sake, and never seeing your family.

We strive to work fast and quickly action feedback to share the best support with early-stage founders. We have some big news coming soon about how we’re going to further support and fund the next generation of female founders. If you’re interested in hearing more about this funding, please get in touch here.

The Atto Evolution

Atto has evolved from our first 12-week Atto Accelerator program, to now include the 8-week Atto Aspire Pre-Accelerator program and the Atto Academy membership.

In the first few years when founders had completed the Accelerator program, we were approached by founders looking for support post-accelerator and in between batches. That’s when we created the Atto Academy to support founders 365 days a year. Now the Academy is a tight-knit community of women supporting one another to build the businesses of their dreams.

After running our 12-week Accelerator program three times, we realised there was a big need to create a program for founders at the very beginning of their business journey. Many women approach Atto for support and accountability to bring their startup ideas to life.

In 2022, we launched our Aspire Pre-Accelerator program, supporting 18 female founders from just an idea to lean MVP in just 8-weeks. Atto Aspire will run again in early 2023. If you’d like to join our next intake, please submit an EOI now.

With this evolution, we’ve now got programming for founders all along the startup journey - from idea stage, MVP stage, scale-up and beyond.

Supporting Under-Represented Founders

We’re proud to support an underrepresented group within the startup ecosystem.

Female founders make up just 1-in-4 startup founders in Australia and women-led teams receive a tiny percentage of all venture capital funding.

Of our 100+ alum founders, 25% are women of colour, many are neuro-diverse and they’re located all around Australia, New Zealand and around the world.

We’re looking forward to extending our impact with our new upcoming programs and projects.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Atto along our journey so far! It’s been amazing first four years and we’re excited for what’s on the horizon.
