Atto receives $125K in grant funding from LaunchVic
We’re excited to share that Atto has received some grant funding from LaunchVic to run its pre-accelerator program in 2020 and 2021, helping to further build the pipeline of female founders.
The grant funding will go towards expanding our educational program, team, content, and community – and achieving our mission of making entrepreneurship accessible to all. Our vision is to create a new-school school for female tech entrepreneurship and we’ll be following no-code principles to get there, meaning knowing how to code isn’t a must-have for success in tech.
After achieving a 100 Net Promoter Score from program participants in the 2019 cohort, including one participant, AirRobe, getting into Australia’s leading accelerator Startmate – we have a great foundation to expand from.
I started Atto in 2019 as the world’s first remote pre-accelerator program for female founders. Pre-COVID, most accelerators were heavily dominated towards in-person events and networking – and not to forgot, completely focused on raising traditional investor funding. After going through the growth-at-all-costs Silicon Valley path to building a company and raising $1M+ USD for CloudPeeps, I realised there are so many alternative pathways to the startup journey. One that could involve being a highly ambitious founder wanting to scale a global tech startup while also being located anywhere in the world (hello, regional Victoria 🌳) and having a family (I was 14 weeks pregnant when Atto’s inaugural batch kicked off)! Thus, the ‘indie way’ and Atto was born.
Atto’s pre-accelerator program is perfect for first-time female founders who crave the structure, know-how, and community to go from idea to MVP to revenue in 12 weeks. Upon graduation, they can apply to mid-stage accelerators, seek angel funding, or simply focus on servicing their customers. It’s all about empowering founders with knowledge and freedom. 🚀
Applications for the next batch are open now and will be accepted on a rolling basis until the program starts on September 30, 2020.
