Bubble Tea Club (Atto 2020) raise $1.6M on Birchal

Co-founders of Bubble Tea Club (Atto 2020), Jenny Le and Pamela Yip have created a multi-million dollar business in less than 12 months and have successfully raised capital to take their business around the world.

Coming up with the idea for home delivered DIY bubble tea kits during the COVID lockdown in Melbourne, Jenny and Pam have grown their product range, their team and their global footprint at a rapid pace.

They’re on a mission to create easy access to bubble tea at home:

“We originally started the Bubble Tea Club to give everyone access to store-bought quality bubble tea at home as well as a club where all of us who love bubble tea can come together. What we want to do is to be able to send cheap and affordable bubble tea to everyone everywhere as well as share our bubble tea stories together as a club!”

Within 12 months of the launch of BTC in mid-2020, the company has served over 30,000 customers and has earned $2M in revenue. They’ve enabled customers to make their own bubble tea at home costing bubblers $1.75 per serve vs the shop-bought $7-9 per serve.

Bubble Tea Club’s Successful Equity Crowdfunding Campaign

With a minimum target of $1M to scale their operations globally, the Bubble Tea Club Birchal equity crowdfunding campaign closed with almost 1,400 investors raising a total of:

$1,648,054.50

Since launching the campaign, the co-founders have shared their inspiring story with bubblers around the world and they’ve been featured in: The Daily Mail, SmartCompany, Women’s Agenda and News.com.au.

Atto 2020 Experience

Jenny and Pam joined the Atto Accelerator in 2020 after starting their business just a few months prior.

After completing Atto Accelerator, the founders said:

"There are so many pearls of wisdom given by Kate, Sian and the educators from the program. And the most valuable thing we got out of Atto is the supportive network from other like-minded female entrepreneurs. Everyone is incredibly open to providing feedback and giving suggestions."

"Atto was a massive perspective change for us and what we could achieve."
