It was so good to see so many Atto 2020 faces IRL this month. Thanks to everyone who came into Melbourne’s CBD on Friday 5th Feb for food, face-to-face chats and headshots – it was awesome to hear what you’d all been up to. And to find out your plans for 2021.

Atto HQ

We’re starting things as we mean to go on this year at Atto HQ, and have already welcomed another member to the Atto team. Say hello to Lana Weal, our new Program Coordinator.

You’ll be seeing lots more of Lana this year as she’ll be hosting our monthly webinars and masterminds and assisting with all things Atto Academy and Atto Accelerator, 2021.

Founder Focus: Elizabeth Knight, Purposeful

When Elizabeth Knight left High School she, like many people, felt completely overwhelmed and directionless when it came to figuring out her future. So, after a successful TEDx talk on how Gen X feels about its future, she launched Purposeful – an ed-tech platform helping young people find their way in the world.

“I’m not sure if I’ve ever had a career plan, other than in high school when I thought that the only path to being successful, and making a difference, was to become a lawyer. I wasn’t taught about entrepreneurship in school, so when I first discovered startups in university it was pretty game-changing for me. I realised that I didn’t have to choose a career path, instead, I could create one around a problem I cared about. Now my career plan is to do just that for as long as it is sustainable.”

You can read more about Elizabeth’s founder story in an interview we did with her over here.

Expressions of Interest for Atto Academy 🎓 ⠀

When we were building Atto Accelerator, we realised female founders need ongoing startup support 365 days a year.

So, we’ve built Atto Academy.

Atto Academy’s an educational offering and community platform for the world’s most promising female founders. Our mission is to build a pipeline of 1000 top female founders across the globe.

Expressions of Interest are now open if you’re keen to be part of our inaugural intake.
