Hannon from AirRobe (Atto 2019) goes from $0 to $1.28 million in 20 months

Congratulations to Hannon Comazzetto on announcing her $1.28M AUD seed raise. Hannon was part of Atto Accelerator’s 2019 inaugural batch with her startup AirRobe and after finishing, she was then accepted into Startmate.

AirRobe is a marketplace where users can buy, sell and lease high-end second-hand clothing and accessories. It was great to prototype version 1.0 of the marketplace in Atto using no-code platforms such as ShareTribe.

Hannon was recently featured in The Australian Financial Review where she talked about the inspiration behind founding AirRobe. She said that what started with a passion for sustainability in the fashion industry quickly turned into something bigger when she started consulting with big fashion houses. The huge amount of waste made her realise that something needed to change.

AirRobe launched in March, 2019 but with this new round of funding Hannon said she wants to tackle her vision of getting big brands involved in fashion’s circular economy.

"It's a solution that gives them a business case to really enter this market and to deliver what the Millennial and Generation Z consumer is really after, which is that sustainability and ethical focus," she said. "Traditionally, shopping ethically and sustainably has been perceived as a luxury because of the price point, but the affordability of the re-commerce segment changes that."

Congratulations, Hannon! We’re looking forward to seeing what comes next! 🚀
